Dumont Sand Dunes

OK after my last post there was even more drama but we did finally manage to make it out of town, 3 hours after we were supposed to leave! We had a great time and the RV makes it so convienient. When we got there (finally!) it was so windy! So we stayed in the RV until the next day (Friday). The kids were disappointed that they couldn't go riding the first day but it was like having your skin sandblasted every time you went outside. So Friday afternoon the winds finally settled down and Allan took the kids for a ride on the Rhino. I stayed behind and watched a movie with my neice Tia. I was so glad to have my neices Tia and Kenzi come with us, we had so much fun! I love traveling with alot of people because you never run out of people to talk to or things to say. We also went down with our bishop and his very cool family and they were alot of fun to hang out with (when it wasn't windy, LOL) and Allan's dad, his brother Anton, his wife and daughter and some of his friends.

Caleb had alot of fun too. He got to go for a ride in a trophy truck and in a sand rail (see the one doing the wheelie? That's Caleb in there.) He had the time of his life! I think it was better than Christmas for him. I don't think he stopped smiling for 3 days!

Carson loves to play in the sand. So I made sure that I brought a bunch of sand toys so that he could dig. And boy did he dig! He played nonstop, he wouldn't even stop to eat. And when he had to go to bed...lets just say that I'm very tired due to lack of sleep!

All in all, we had a great time! It was a great family vacation, ideal for Allan because we left on Valentines Day and what is more romantic than a 4 day stay in a RV with all your family? I'm just kidding, I wouldn't have changed a thing! So this Valentines was all about him but I have a promise for a romantic dinner this week. I guess one year out of the 13 years that we have been together Allan should get to pick what he wants to do.

Looks like you had a blast. Hope you aren't feeling sand in everything for months. LOL What a nice wife to make sure your husband had a great Valentines Day!
