Stop the train of life, I want to get off!!

Man this last few weeks have been so hard! My kids were so sick that I thought they had pneumonia but they had the flu. The flu sucks because there's not much that you can do except for treat the symptoms. So they have been in misery. Then I get it and get to wallow in misery. Now Allan has it. YUCK, YUCK, YUCK!

Then last night we get a phone call, Allan's grandma has died. Not that this was unexpected but its still a shock to your system. He is very sad because he loves his grandma very much. We spents lots of time down in California visiting her and grandpa (also passed). It feels like the end of an era. We only have one grandparent left between the two of us and it seems like life is rushing past us at the speed of light. I hate to think of what comes after grandparents because I'm not ready for parents to die. I guess that's part of life but I'm not ready yet!! Someone please show me where the button is to slow things down because everything is happening too fast!

So sorry about Allens grandma. I know it is hard. We lost all of ours within 6 weeks of each other and you are right it makes you feel like you all moved up one row closer in life. I hate having to be in the Adult Child line. I liked being in the Adult Grandchild line better. I too am not ready for the responsibility of caring for the parents. But at least I am finally feeling settled in life and more like I can help them when the times comes. Hope you have a better week. Can't wait till next weekend!!!!!!!!!!! We are going to have such a nice time.

I sure hope you're feeling better Amy.
So sorry to hear about Allan's grandma. I know what you mean, about dreading these days that are inevitable. My grandpa is still here, but I'm sure it won't be too long and he won't be. It makes you remember that we need to enjoy the ride while we're on it...and it never hurts to take too many pictures.
