35? Really? But I don't feel that OLD!!!

Well, this birthday really snuck up on me.  Today I turn 35 but I feel like I should still be in my twenties.  I remember thinking in my teenage years how OLD 35 sounded.  But honestly?  I still feel great.  True, I'm a little creakier in the joints but other than that, I feel better now than I did in my twenties.  Having babies was much harder on my body than being in my 30's!  So I guess I'll count my blessings and be grateful that I feel so great :)

Life...What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right?!

Just when I think life is going to settle into a smooth, easy pattern BAM!!!  I am sucked into some twilight zone and I'm going crazy!!!  My sanity is permanently gone.  However, that being said, I really love my life.  Craziness and all.  I'll take craziness over drama ANY day of the week :)

Today we're headed to Texas to pick up our motor home.  It's bittersweet for us because we love our trailer.  However, it was getting to be crazy for both Allan and I to pull trailers to the sand dunes.  So we sold our beloved trailer and the truck that pulled it and bought a motor home.

HOWEVER!  We will always be:

On to the next adventure...

SOLD!!!! Dodge Ram 3500 :)

Hey!  We're selling our beautiful, pristine, top of the line 2008 Dodge Ram 3500.  There's less than 30,000 miles on it.  We're only asking 33,500 which is below blue book value.  This truck is loaded!  Navigation system, DVD player, power everything, tow package, plus so much more!!!

We sold our camp trailer and bought a motor home so this truck needs a new home.  We bought this truck to pull our trailer, there's only highway miles on this baby!  Thanks for looking, if you're interested call Allan @ 435-313-9517.  :)

BRRR....Soccer in the snow isn't fun.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.  Soccer ain't for wimps!!!  After being PROMISED by the league that it wasn't snowing in Cedar City (45 minutes away from our house) we drove up there to play a game.  Well, they were wrong.  Ridiculously wrong.

It's gone!!!

There were lots of tears last night.  Well, on my part anyway.  Carson has been begging me to cut his hair off so he can have a "faux hawk" like Caleb.  I kept telling him to ask dad if he can because I KNEW that Allan would never let him cut it off.  HA!  That wasn't a very smart plan because dad relented last night and told him to do what he wants.  I usually believe that kids can choose to do what they want with their hair, after all it's their hair.  But I LOVE Carson's hair.  We haven't cut it this short since he was one.  So I got my nerve up, with tears streaming down my face, and cut all his beautiful hair off.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

Look at all the HAIR!!!

Who knew it was possible to give birth to twins 5 years apart?!

Well, I may be traumatized but Carson is THRILLED!  And since all I want is for my kids to be happy, I guess I can sacrifice his fabulous hair for his happiness.

~Our Wedding Day~

We were married on September 19th 1998.  We had been dating for 4 years and living together for 2 and we decided to make it legal.  After all, there was no one else in this world who would put up with my crap and vice versa.

We were married at the Pine Valley Chapel.  This chapel was built in 1868 and was built by a ship builder.  He figured if he just built an upside ship, it would work as a church!  It is the oldest LDS church
still in use.

Those that know me, know that I have a weakness for anything with a rich historical background.

We were married outside an it was a gorgeous day.  Too bad bridezilla showed up.  Now, I wasn't a spoiled rotten, bratty bridezilla.  I was the only person who knew what was going on.  My parents both lived out of town and so I pretty much planned the whole thing pretty much on my own.  If it hadn't been for my friend Stephanie, I would have been in an institution instead of a wedding dress!

Honestly, I don't remember a lot about our wedding day, except for me doing a lot of yelling and bossing people around...Hey, if you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself!
Not gonna lie, kissing pictures are awkward...
It's one of those cheesy wedding poses...gotta love them!

I do remember cutting the cake.  We had a full blown cake fight.  Our parents had to separate us.  Allan was sooo mad that I shoved cake in his face after he was so nice to me.  But seriously, what did he expect from me?!  Silly husband.  I guess he learned how unpredictable I really was that day...

Sixteen years later (counting the dating years) we are still together, happy, in love and plan to stay that way forever!!!

(I will have to post more pictures later.  I finally got a scanner that works so I can post some of the "forgotten" pictures that we have.)

Friday Confessional

Photobucket

I confess~

  • I just yelled at my son "Stop wearing girl clothes, YOU ARE A BOY!!!"
  • I drink Diet Pepsi for breakfast.
  • I hate the gym.  I only go because my goal is to be able to wear a bikini by my pool (not anyone elses, that would be wrong to blind people with my abundance of stretch marks.)
  • I've had the flu for over a week now and it's pissing me off.  The upside?  I don't have to go to the gym because I can't stop coughing.
  • My life could change in huge ways this week.  Not sure how I'm feeling about it yet.
  • I've spent the past few weeks trying to keep the stress off my hubby's back.  It would be super rad if his parents and siblings would do the same.  It's very irritating that one person can undo all the work I've done in the past few week in one phone conversation.
  • Maybe this is why they think I'm a b*tch.
  • I'm not really though.
  • Most of the time.
  • I cleaned out my closet.  I filled 4 large boxes with clothes and shoes.  It still looks anything but bare.
  • I might have an addiction to shopping.
  • But I only buy things when they're on sale so that justifies it in my head.
  • USPS dropped off clothes from Macy's Tuesday.  A hot pink velour hoodie and pants with rhinestones.  I love it.  It was less that $15.00 for both.  See?  Totally justifiable.
  • Fed Ex also dropped off a box from Cutsey Girl.  2 pairs of super cute boots, 1 pair of sandals, and some darling flats.  $40.00 for everything.  How could I NOT buy them when they're that cheap?
  • My husband loves me anyway.  Mostly because he has as many, if not more, clothes and shoes that I do.
I feel so much better now!
