Things I discovered after my parents accident...

I went to Nauvoo to take care my parents. Well, mostly my mom because my step dad was in a hospital 2 hours away the whole time I was there. Here are some things I've learned along this journey that I took, in no particular order

~I can fly across the country all by myself and not stress out too much.

~I'm not an emotional eater. I tend to starve myself in a crisis.

~I'm more like my mom than I thought. And that's a good thing.

~If I didn't have kids, my house would be ridiculously clean and I could cook up a storm. But where's the fun in that? Kids are waaaay more fun that cooking and cleaning!

~I'm blessed to have the best friends EVER!! I can't believe the kindness, concern and love that was shown to my family. I'll never be able to repay these kindnesses but I will be sure to pay it forward.

~I also have the most amazing, loving, supportive family members. I grew so much closer to them through all this. I love them sooo much!

~I wish there were 2 of me. It was so hard to leave my parents and go back home. But I was needed at home too. It would have made my life so much easier.

~Life goes on when you fall off the face of the earth.

~If I take 20 minutes to cry every couple of hours, I don't feel as overwhelmed in a major crisis.

~Lawyers are a pain in the ass but they are also a necessity.

~Living thousands of miles away from your parents is too hard when bad things happen.

~I have the best husband in the world and my heart hurts when he's not around.

~I'm so blessed to have Caleb and Carson as my kids. They are amazing and they make me happy and proud every day.

~I can attest to the power of prayer. It can work miracles.

~I really love living in southern Utah and no matter what I say, I'll probably never leave.

~The Nauvoo Temple is beautiful.
