I've been sitting here trying to decide what to write about this day. I can't seem to find the words. As most people know, Allan and I didn't go to church for quite a few years. Then one day it just seemed like we should go. So we did. I feel so blessed for making that decision. Caleb getting baptized without having to have missionary lessons has helped me feel like a good mom.(yes I know that's its not all about me, LOL) I know that there is a lot that I don't know about the church, I need to go back to primary because Caleb knows more about the church than I do,(its true, I had to call my mom the other day because I thought he was wrong but it turns out he was right...) but I'm glad that I am there.
Caleb, on the other hand, has been ecstatic for the last month! He was so excited to be baptized, he patiently waited for a whole month because they didn't have baptisms last month because of General Conference. I asked him if he was nervous and he said "No, I'm excited." And he looked at me like DUH MOM, why would I be nervous? He was so amazing at the baptism, like a little grown up. He listened to the talk that was given and didn't squirm or fidget like he does at church. He seemed to take it to heart. I am truly blessed to have such a sweet little boy like Caleb.
It ended up being a ward baptism with only Caleb and another boy in our ward. It was awesome. I was touched by the family and friends came out to support him. I am very grateful. It made the whole day more special. My dad and Karen came down just to see him baptized. Allan's dad baptized him and my dad confirmed him. It was very special to have both grandpa's participate. Thanks to everyone, we love you!
